Noah Solt’s new single, “The Fold,” feels like taking a stroll around a familiar and beloved place on a summer day. Upbeat, breezy, and musically rich, it marks a new chapter in the artistry of the Colorado-born singer-songwriter, as he takes a u-turn from his previous work, while still maintaining his signature themes of optimism in the face of uncertainty and poetic, imagery-filled lyricism. This single serves as a teaser for what’s to come on his upcoming debut album, Big Water, where Solt takes listeners on a deeper exploration of self-reflection and hope.
Reflecting on the track, Solt shares, “It would be a lie to say that I wrote the chorus to the song in 15 minutes while standing in the vocal booth. In reality, I was laying down in the vocal booth, feeling the pressure, while my godfather, Andy Mann, had me lay on the floor to do breathing exercises as I wrote. The chorus became about giving yourself to the process and trusting yourself, even when you are afraid.” “The Fold” is Noah Solt’s third single, following his previous offerings, “Spheres” and “After All,” where we see the singer exploring more intimate and laid-back sounds.
